We had 5 days of rain in California. It was terrible with my two girls. I had to say that I run out of ideas of playing indoors, and also we had two family dinners Tuesday and Thursday, so it was difficult to cook and keep my girls busy.
Finally after so many days inside my house, I had enough. We got our girls on Saturday and went to Yucaipa to sled. The house was en empty property, I guess we didn't notice until we were leaving and we saw the sign. There were many people there, and Karla had so much fun.
Sunday we did the same, but we went to Los Rios Ranch, it was nice, but the snow was so much, we couldn't slide. Oh well, but we ate an apple pie and a hot cocoa, so it was worth it.
It was a fun weekend!!

Terrible Twos

I don't really know how to start, but I think I will start saying than Daniela is getting into a difficult stage. She is trying to see how far can she go. I really hope this stage is over soon, but in the meantime let's say in what she progress this month.
1. She is almost potty trained. She is mostly in underwear now with occasional accidents. Some days she will be completely dry. It is taking her more time to learn # 2, because she will do it in the potty chair, but before she finish, she will stand up, so if anyone is planning to do the potty training any time soon, make sure to explain to your child, and stay with them.
2. She start "Frogs" a children church for 2 years and 3 years old. One of the things I love about my church is that they are very caring with our children, there is a lot of teachers and Daniela start learning parts of the bible. I ask her. Do you like it?. She said, yes, but I want to go home, go home, go home.......
3. She follow the languages. She respond in Spanish, when we are talking in Spanish, and in English when we are talking in English. Both languages she speak it fluently.
I really feel proud of my little girl. As time goes by, I could see than she likes outdoor activities, and who doesn't? She also love to explore and learn new things.
Hopefully this stage of the "no ,no" is over soon.

Remembering Joyce Decock
A very nice lady from our church passed away on December 29. She was only 47 years old, and she died from lung cancer. For me still very hard to believe than she is gone. On the last week of November, I remember that we had a short conversation, and she didn't really wanted to talk about her disease, instead we talk about my girls.
We all know she is in a better place now, but for us it is difficult to let her go, we have so many questions, but I guess it takes time to heal when people loss someone special.
Over 500 people where at the memorial, many people really loved her. She was compassionated, sincere, and a very caring person. She is in heaven now.

Hair Cut and Knitting

I am learning how to knit. I made several scarf for my girls, since they don't sell their size around town, and I really enjoy it doing it. I try to make a hat, but instead become a purse. Hopefully I learn more.
Also the first week of January, Karla and I got our hair cut. It is the first time, Karla has her hair short, and for me I feel it is easier to deal with her hair in the morning.
My hair is also short, and I have to style it, otherwise is flat and it looks like a guy haircut. My niece told me that I looked 5 years younger. I take it as a complement!! :)

Karla had many activities, but also she had a nice vacation.
Now it is almost time to go back to school.

Christmas 2009
December was a good month. Family visit from Peru, and we had many Christmas parties.
Karla also participated in many activities during December. She sang at school, and at church she had a small part in the children program.
At the children program, my friend Suhair and Naghmeg came to see Karla and they also came for the first time to our church. They are not Christians, and it was nice for them to came and see the house of God. I still pray for them, I really hope they know the truth of the kingdom of God.
My sister in Law, Rocio and my niece Mariana came to spend Chirstmas with my nephew Javier. For them, after 6 years, it is the first time they celebrated Christmas together.

On December 23, Randall's friend Greg came to visit California. We got together at Old Spaguetti Factory. Although, we had to wait one hour to be sitting, it was worth it, and the guys could spend some time together.

Grandparents Theora and Roger, also travel in December, they couldn't make it to any of Karla's performances, but they saw it in the internet.
